About us

We have employed two trainers from Iceland, one from Germany, as well as a couple of additional staff members responsible for various practical tasks with our horses, as well as duties in the stables and out in the fields.

About us

Our goal is to make breeding in Denmark more like in Iceland.

Lindholm Høje Stud is a recognized and approved EU stallion station, offering semen from some of the world’s best Icelandic stallions. We take pride in breeding some of the highest-rated Icelandic horses and boast unique breeding stock with a focus on quality, temperament, and riding abilities. Our goal is to raise the standard of breeding in Denmark, creating Icelandic horses that are ideal for both competition and leisure, while ensuring that we do not breed mares with poor temperaments or inadequate riding qualities.

We are a dedicated team, including two experienced trainers from Iceland and one from Germany who work with our stallions during the winter season. Additionally, we employ several staff members for practical tasks in the stables and fields, ensuring that our horses receive the best care and training year-round. On our 75-hectare property, we have over 140 horses, including mares and foals, who graze outside throughout the year.

At Lindholm Høje Stud, we are passionate about creating the best Icelandic horses, not only meeting competition standards but also possessing the right temperament and traits for both sport and pleasure.
